Courtney Sanford, 32, tragically lost her life in a head-on collision on a US highway just moments after posting a Facebook status and selfies. Her last post, “The happy song makes me so HAPPY,” was shared at 8:33 a.m.; police were notified of the crash a minute later.

Sanford’s car crossed the center line and collided with a recycling truck, igniting her vehicle and forcing the truck off the road. Authorities found no signs of speeding, drugs, or alcohol—she had simply been on her way to work.

Later, friends noticed her posts, revealing she had been on her phone moments before the accident, underscoring the risks of distracted driving.
